The changing pace at which Thomas Gold's career has taken shape has been literally breath-taking for the Berlin-based artist, especially after being snapped up by mammoth recording imprint, Toolroom Records (two years ago) as both a recording artist and resident DJ for their infamous 'Toolroom Knights' events alongside the likes of Fedde le Grand and Mark Knight. The other integral part to his story has been the successful remixes for folks like Sander van Doorn and Moguai, and his scoring of 12 million views on YouTube for his majesic version of Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain". His new single, "Eyes Wide Open" hit #4 on the Beatport charts recently and his next single "Sing2Me" will be out on Axtone very soon. Just to add, this maestro is named by Swedish House Mafia, Axwell, Sander van Doorn and Cosmic Gate as the "Breakthrough Artist for 2011" in the DJ Mag Awards.

The first is the future. Back at Velvet Underground - Dance for the new year, Midnight Shift X Zouk debuts a mystery guest from Greece. A torchbearer of house music with releases on labels such as Cocoon, Poker Flat, Cadenza and Ibadan, he shines the way brightly forward. Holding fort will be true choice DJ KFC as well as Zouk resident djB going back to back with respected veteran Brendon P as they reprise their Houseysouldoingz outfit. Special performance by mysterious VFX and Avneesh (electrocaine) on the visuals further light up this one night where the future becomes present.
