Knowing what a great track should sound like - and the place it can be taken by warping and twisting it - is James Zabiela's (#94 in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll 2011) forte. Layering different sounds with the aid of two Pioneer CDJ-2000s, a Pioneer EFX-1000, Korg Kaossilator, MIDI controller, a laptop, and iPad or whatever he can lay his hands on, his limbs and ears don't let up for a second, leaving any punters feet a-moving and mouth agape. Zabiela's demands for such a kit wherever he spins is a reminder that he's one of the scant few DJs who's pushing things forward in recent times.
Warming up for James will be the up-and-coming, London-born and bred beatsmith, George FitzGerald who's been creating a storm of late with outstanding releases (that combine both the warmer, melodic sides of House and Garage with the more heated, pounding drum patterns of Dubstep and Techno) on Hotflush, Aus, and his own imprint, ManMakeMusic.

Returning back to where it all began, Velvet Underground-Dance, Midnight Shift presents an extraordinary line-up of musical and art-bent guests found making all the right waves this moment.
Opening the ceremonies of the night is Zouk's first resident to ever play a first record for the dance floor -- respected veteran Jeremy Boon. He will be guiding the night with his light in the space that he helped build. A local phenomenon that must be-seen-to-be-believed, one-man band Hafez Masterpiece will be joined for the first time with a mystery female guest vocalist for their hotly tipped duet debut. This edition will also be the unveiling of Midnight Shift label artist and performer Eddie Niguel, whose remix of Patrice Baumel's 'Roar' on Berlin's Get Physical label became a hit single in the electronic scene, including #1 Juno Best Seller in the Techno Chart.
Not much shall be revealed at all about the International Mystery Guest. All that will be said is that he is one of the Top 20 Live Acts of 2011 as recorded by Resident Advisor, who will be showing his musical prowess with both a Live and DJ set for his Singapore debut.
To all that is present: Now is Found.

Heartsrevolution is a boy/grrrl duo (Lo and Ben) that resides in the Lower East Side of NYC and creates great electronic neo-punk dance music. Born of a punk ethos, the band has self released records and self funded tours all via their Heartschallenger ice cream trucks. The trucks operate as a nexus of their DIY self-empowered infrastructure by selling treats outside of shows and music festivals. It is then no surprise the band was described by music magazine, NME, as "the model for the modern pop group...one day all bands will be like this" The group formed in 2005 when Lo asked Ben to compose a soundtrack for the 1st Heartschallenger ice cream truck. Their name comes from a Huggy Bear song called "Her Jazz" which referenced boy/grrrl revolutionaries.

Mark Knight's (#71 in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll 2011) legacy already ranks him as a leading player in dance music culture. His rise to the forefront has been more than just gigs and remixes as his contribution to the scene via his famed label, Toolroom Records, demonstrates abilities that supercede the glorified title of 'DJ'. 2010 saw him landing a Grammy Nomination for work on the Black Eyed Peas' multi-platinum album, The-End, three of the biggest selling records on Beatport's 'Best Sellers List', and an IDMA nomination for his Toolroom Knights weekly radio show. The story doesn't end there as the music maestro continues that spark of brilliance with a fine-run of tours, productions and awards leading up to his gig with us this May.

They don't care about genres. They don't care about smartness. They don't care about the things you care about. Dada Life (#38 in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll 2011) just want to make you jump up and down, then make you crash into a wall with a smile on your face. In summer 2006, Dada Life released their debut EP, "Big Time", and clubs and festivals all over the world got their first take on the duo. Since then there has been a steady stream of records and remixes (done with Laidback Luke and Kid Cudi), as well as support from folks like Eric Prydz, Tiësto, Benny Benassi and David Guetta, and sold-out gigs all over the world (including Coachella 2012). And their motto in life? Destroy dance music and have fun.

When you're as iconic a figure as Josh Wink, it's not so easy to sum up a career in a few words—but there are a couple of terms that might serve to get a handle on the seminal electronic-music producer's lifework. One of the most apt, certainly, would be longevity. A brief scan of Wink's mammoth résumé reveals the following: Early-'80 days as an underage mobile DJ; a major role in fostering his native Philadelphia's burgeoning warehouse scene during the house-music explosion later that decade; name-making club hits like "Higher State of Consciousness"; a label, Ovum Recordings, that's undisputedly one of the most essential dance-music imprints; and his current position, after all these years, as one of the scene's most vibrant and creative DJs and producers.

Always having had a soft spot for old school hip-hop artists, Fritz was first infected by the techno virus in 1997 when his famous brother, Paul Kalkbrenner, and counterpart Sascha Funke decided to smuggle Fritz into legendary Berlin club, Suicide Circus, for his first ever gig. Feeling inspired, it wasn't too long after that Fritz started his own electronic music productions with left-over equipment from his brother. In 2010, his successful debut offering, Here Today Gone Tomorrow, was released to great acclaim and a follow up to that in the form of a new album on the Suol label is due out in 2012.
