Conceptualised and helmed by Zouk's very own FORMATIVE (djB's new, even-more-pumping, big room-smashing alter ego that he adopts when he wants to showcase this particular sound and attitude!), this is a night without pretense, a night when all you need to do is lose yourself to the bangers and belters that'll sweep you off your feet! It ain't slow and deep, it's just full-on, hands-in-the-air, epic tunes from the get-go; capable of disarming the most hardened cynics in attendance! If you like artistes like Nicky Romero, Alesso, Arty, Norman Doray and Tim Mason, you'll Be right at home here, alongside the music and the live elements that FORMATIVE will specially handpick himself to spice up the night. Tonight, let's Be Sexy with special guest, Chris B. Let your hair down, show some skin, tease us, flirt with us and maybe, just maybe, we'll give you a spanking good time! Local support comes from the very talented and up-and-coming Chris B, FORMATIVE's mentee and a name to watch in the future, for sure! From House, to Techno, Garage to Dubstep, Hip Hop to Drum & Bass, the only rule at bassic is contained in the name.
Seven months in the making and bassic, the ever-eccentric love child of Velvet Underground residents Ming & Jeremy Boon, has finally reached maturity. Joined by a true stalwart of Techno, detroit-schooled, Kelvin Tan aka loopinmotion along with the soulful accompaniment of half of the duo Cosa Nostra, Kaye on the sax, bring a pair of open ears, durable dancing shoes, and where soul meets substance let the music take control.
Ever-eager to satisfy your sonic needs, returning to the Underground after a month's hiatus, be part of the revolution at the official launch of bassic.
