Ever since Egyptian producer-DJ stalwarts Aly and Fila weighed in with 'Eye of the Horus' back in 2003, they've been on a steady and meteoric rise, slicing through the Trance sphere with a bagful of winning remixes and productions, landing themselves accolades the world over. Their Trance World 2 Compilation was released on the Armada label in 2008, a nightcap on an assault that earned them a spot in that year's DJ Mag's Top 50. 2009 did not let on either, with the duo rapidly dropping remixes and original productions on their own Future Sound of Egypt label, touring Ibiza, Australia, South American and Europe, cutting in at #22 on DJ Mag's Top 100 in 2011 and #12 in the Trance Addict Top 250 DJ Poll.

Torontonian hero Basic Soul Unit and label artist on both Darker Than Wax and Midnight Shift imprints arrives for a debut Live set traversing the dubby, moody and organic spectrum of house and techno. Closer to home, resident trooper Jeremy Boon joins Funk Bast*rd and Kaye as they play the sounds of intergalactic funk into the good night. Access The Demilitarized Zone and march bravely into the future.
Having grown up in 80's Canada, Basic Soul Unit is Stuart Li, who spent his teens tuning in to independent college radio stations, opening him up to the world of house, electro, hip hop and reggae beats and eventually paving the way to labels like Trax, Nervous and Nu Groove. Since then, Basic Soul Unit has developed his own sound - a fine blend of funky techno and soulful and deep house released on respected labels such as Dolly, Philpot, Mathematics, Mule Electronic, Ostgut Ton, New Kanada, and Creme Organization. With a host of remixes for artistes like Dolly, Hivern Discs and Octopus under his belt, Basic Soul Unit is fast-becoming synonymous with our mushrooming tech-scape.
