Over the past few years, Belfast DJ/producer Phil Kieran has emerged as a vital talent in the dance music scene, effortlessly straddling the divides between house, techno and breaks. Think Dave Clarke getting frisked over the dj booth by Carl Craig circa 91. A long-time resident at Belfast club Shine, Phil has been djing since the mid 90's, inspired by the eclectic, hedonistic beats of David Holmes' seminal Sugarsweet nights back in the day. Now at only 25, Phil has had releases on major labels like Slam's Soma, and Deep Dish's Yoshitoshi, and Skint. Diverse artists from Arthur Baker, Innercity to indie-rock outfit Simian have all received Phil's remix treatment.
