Respected by all as the Godfather of Hip Hop and Electro, Afrika Bambaataa has been right there from the start, way back in '72, where the use of drum machines and computer sounds made him instrumental in changing the way R&B and other forms of Black Music were recorded. In '74, he founded the Zulu Nation - a community of DJs, rappers, breakdancers, graffiti writers and artists that he took under his wing. By the early 80s, he made such an impact in the scene that he was featured in Wild Style and Beat Street - 2 box office movies that took hip hop culture to the main stream. From Kraftwerk to Leftfield, Arthur Baker to Shep Pettibone, Run DMC to EMF, West Bam to Jungle Brothers, Bam has worked with everyone from all corners of the dance music industry. With his first ever appearance in South East Asia, be sure to catch this legend as he brings to us the true essence of hip hop culture.
