THE BEATNIK PICNIC AT SMU GREEN
Zouk is proud to be appointed by the Singapore National Museum to host a party on the second weekend of their inaugural “Night Festival 2008”. A free party open to those 16 and above, the 2 day event will encompass vastly different entertainment each night to cater to a wider audience and give people a reason to come for both nights.
DAY 1 - FRI 25 JULY 10 PM TO 2 AM
Day 1 has a more bohemian feel, with craft & art related fringe activities to nurture one’s artistic side as well as support budding local artists. Get your hands on one-off creations by artists like Maki Squarepatch, White Dog Bobby and The Proletariat Poetry Factory or create one yourself by trying a hand at silk-screening, body art and drumming.
Rock out on the first night with the international merry noisemakers; Van She who’ll be showering your ears with new sounds from their upcoming album “V”. Local Zouk jock Hong will also be spinning a special indie disco set to set the mood, not forgetting a 100 strong drumming act to kick off the night and fireworks. |
