Top 10 Tracks for 2010
In an attempt to curb my Monday blues (obviously being thwarted more by the gloomy weather), here are my top 10 tracks for 2010.
1. Arcade Fire – “The Suburbs” [Such a beautiful and gentle opener by my favourite band of the moment.]
2. Beach House – “Zebra” [Fresh off their 3rd LP, Teen Dreams, "Zebra" is the epitome of dreamy pop rock.]
3. Shit Robot – “Simple Things (Work It Out)” [First heard Heidi rolling out this gem at her gig at Velvet Underground in October. Gave everybody goosebumps through and through.]
4. David Bowie – “Ashes To Ashes” [Stuck in my head since 2007 during my solo trip to Vegas.]
5. Interpol – “The New” [The reason why I love Interpol to bits.]
6.Phoenix – Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix [Am sorry. I obviously can't choose one single track from this amayyyzing album. <3]
7. Two Door Cinema Club – “You’re Not Stubborn” [Such an awesome young band signed to Kitsune Music. My wishlist for 2011!]
8. Pulp – “Do You Remember The First Time” [Ain't we all pleased that Pulp is back? And it's not all about Jarvis, honey.]
9. Magnetic Man – “Perfect Stranger (Feat. Katy B)” [Such a perfect, raw-sounding, 'roll-off-the-bed' dubstep track.]
10. Crystal Castles – “Not In Love (Feat. Robert Smith (The Cure))” [Robert injects such indie sensuality into this single and makes me wanna listen to The Cure over and over again.]
I can’t wait for 2011 already.
