Red Bull Art of Can Singapore

Having captivated thousands of fans around the globe over the past decade, Red Bull’s pop art competition finally makes its way to Singapore! Besides the single rule that participants need to abide by – incorporating the famous blue and silver Red Bull cans from the Austrian Energy Drink giant – all you really need is some inspiration and a lot of imagination to conceive and produce an original work art.

Red Bull Art of Can culminates in a 10-day exhibition that will be held at the brand new *SCAPE building. It’s gonna be interesting and fascinating to see what the best creative minds in Singapore can come up with! The competition has seen innovative exhibits like a 14-foot bull and even a Mona Lisa replica portrait pieced together completely using the blue and silver cans!

The Red Bull crew will be bringing a special display piece to Zouk from 16 to 18 June, and not forgetting the official post-party in the main room on 2 July! Be sure to mark your calendars.

In the meantime, we bring on our first ever guest blogger, Claire Jedrek (adrenaline junkie by day and party animal by night) to bring us through her Red Bull Art of Can experience.

Since 2007, my not-so-secret affair with Red Bull has taken me to places unimaginable to most. From Malaysia to Brazil, Red Bull has been spoiling me with their dedication for fueling my adrenaline into a frenzy AND I don’t mean your average week out in the clubs pouring Jäger-Bombs down the throat, though I’ve done my fair share of that!

New to our shores, Red Bull now allows YOU to join the Red Bull Art of Can competition. You don’t need to base-jump, back flip off some ramp OR pull 12 G’s in a plane to qualify. You do however have to prove your creative flare using none other than Red Bull cans.

Once I got word it was open to all, it was a done deal and cemented my “Affair” status with Red Bull into “Relationship”. YES! Claire Jedrek joined her 1st Red Bull competition and didn’t break her legs or nails trying.

In a first of more to come, follow my updates as me (CJ) and my partner in “Organised Mess” Jye come together to try create some sort of sculpted semblance called “Art” without super gluing our fingers shut, though more likely me than him.

P.S. I won’t give away what we’re making just quite yet!
