The next NEXT in Fashion

PNN@AFF_Contest

Since its launch in 2010, PARCO next NEXT has been essential in spotting the up-and-coming talents in our island’s vast and varied fashion scene. Don’t mistake youth as inexperience; the designers truly hold their own on national and regional platforms. This Saturday, eight young designers will blow the roof off the Audi Fashion Festival runway, in a display of innovation and ingenuity. Here at Zouk, we’ve got our eyes peeled for 20:TWOTHREE and EPISENE, two of the eight who will be showcased on the 19th. If you’ve met the Zouk team, you’d be aware of our collective love for everything monochromatic. 20:TWOTHREE’s careful detailing and use of our favourite colour through the collection is impressive and truly…

ZoukOut 2011 Fashion Spotting

zoukout deep 2

If you were at ZoukOut 2011, it’s most likely you got hopelessly- but delightfully- lost in the swarm of hotties on the white sands. Admittedly, it’s tough looking good on the beach, with the salty breeze leaving your hair in a mess and your skin high and dry; we don’t know how these kids do it!

Zouk1

Those babies were made specially for our exclusive collaboration project with Dr. Martens, the #FIRSTEXHIBITION, where 19 of the scene’s players, creatives and thinkers were invited to put their own spin onto the classic shoes. The 19 customized shoes (and man, were they precious!) were then put up for auction on eBay, afterwhich all proceeds went to our adopted charity of 2011: the Make-A-Wish ® Foundation Singapore. We’d like to thank everyone who attended and bidded for the shoes for their support! If you were wondering who designed these beauties, it was none other than our…

Here on Jiak Kim Street, we love colours! Whether they’re on the walls of our tunnel into Zouk (did you notice the different colours on different nights?), on our glo-sticks, or in our Bellinis, Velvet Ropes and Blue Spins. But most of all, we love them on the clothes of our partygoers! Suziestyle.com We’ve been raiding our closets in desperate search of what to wear to CODE: COLOUR CLASH with DJs Hong & Eclipse this Saturday when we came across Miss Selfridge’s A/W ‘11 collection, a delicious mix of minimalist tailoring injected with super bright candy colours. We like! Because it’s CODE -and we all know CODE is only for the loud, the proud and…
