Amidst the whirl of party-planning, shot-downing, beer-guzzling and champagne-sipping, it appears to have come time for us to draw the curtains on another year gone by. 2012 has been a massive one for us here at the Zouk family – we had our first ever outdoor show with David Guetta at Fort Canning in October, expanded our annual beach festival of ZoukOut to a two-day spectacular with Calvin Harris, Above & Beyond, Hardwell, Maceo Plex, Nina Kraviz and more, bid a temporary goodbye to the long-running Mambo Jambo series and played host to legends like Luciano, Pete Tong, Avicii and Sven Väth. Zouk goes to Tel Aviv
We were standing by the bar when Lee made her way over and asked if we would like to have a chaser. I said yes, but honestly had no idea what we were supposed to chase, since this was to be our first drink of the night. 30 seconds of Hebrew speech later, the prospects of Coca Cola fizzed out, died, and gave way to the three whiskey shots that found their way down our throats at 9pm in Tel Aviv, Israel.
